Thomas Kilroy
Welcome to my home on the internet.
As a creative - and serial entrepreneur! - my passion lies in the power of storytelling to unlock success for my customer, client, colleagues or team.
Currently a Leadership Consultant and communicator within the Civil Service, I am proud of my contribution as a mentor where my expertise in application and interview coaching has helped lots of great people discover and frame their own potential to secure internal promotion or exciting new dream jobs!
As for my own career, I trained as a chef and patissier before opening my first restaurant at the age of 27. With 300-cover Kilroy’s of Kathmandu blossoming into a runaway success, it lead to a group of restaurants and a nightclub, employing 250 amazing people, and led to my own TV series in Nepal at the time.
Building on that success back in the UK, I have proven my success in senior leadership roles within the Workplace Catering, Casino and Healthcare sectors before founding Kitchen Sync, a strategic communications and career coaching consultancy.
Beyond the world of work, I am a keen runner with over 9000Kms covered so far, and have been teetotal for 12 years 13 years… and counting! Other pursuits include the calming, therapeutic joys detailing my car every chance I get!

We'll always have Paris
Twenty-seven years ago we met at a Valentine’s Eve party in my restaurant, Kilroy’s of Kathmandu in Nepal. To celebrate that first chance meeting, we travelled to Paris - to be in the most romantic city in the world for another Valentine's Eve date to remember.
From the Louvre and the Mona Lisa to Notre Dame, the Palace of Versailles to dining at the Eiffel Tower, this anniversary weekend was about love, memories shared, and the quiet magic of saying yes to a moment.
As they say in our favourite film Casablanca… "we’ll always have Paris".
